The Master Gardeners will be on hand to assist gardeners with their questions and to disucss such topids as vegetable and fruit growing, as well as pest-proofing strategies. Homer Glen Earth Day Arbor Day Celebration, Saturday May 21st, 11m-4pm at Konow Farm, 16849 S. Cedar Road. This event features earth-friendly demonstration, exhibits, food and more. Activities include HG the Talking Tree, Jim Nesci's Cold Blooded Creatures, dog mushing demos, environmental-friendly camping technique exhibit, and demonstrations pertaining to energy efficient lighting, geothermal, wind and solar power, landscaping, yard care and safe cleaning methods.
